Earlier submitting any applications for registering or transferring sheep, please become a fellow member and obtain your membership number. You will receive a welcome letter with your membership number and other data from ASR within ii weeks of their receipt of your application, not including mailing time, usually sooner.

  • The sire and dam must both be registered with us.
  • The owner* of the ewe at the time of the lamb(s) birth is the person who must register the lambs born. A lamb'due south buyer cannot register it.
  • If a ram was leased OR the ewe was pregnant when you purchased her, include a Ram Charter Certificate.
  • Brand sure your sheep meets our breed standard. We have both a print version and a photo version for your review. We practise not accept spotted sheep (see breed standard for "blemish" exception). Practise not register spot carrier sheep with us.
  • The sheep must have an ear tag in its ear to use for registration with usa. Open REGISTRATION APPLICATION PROCESS

The NABSSAR will NOT have any sheep via Open Registration, regardless of it meeting our breed standard, if either the sire or the dam of said sheep is spotted.

It is understood any BABYDOLL Southdown applying for registration with the NABSSAR must meet the Breed Standard as outlined in the NABSSAR Handbook. You may apply for your sheep'south registration through the NABSSAR Open Registry Standards Committee if your BABYDOLL Southdown sheep meets our Breed Standard and is registered with the Olde English "Babydoll" Miniature Southdown Sheep Registry (OEBMSSR); OR if you accept a BABYDOLL Southdown sheep meeting our Breed Standard whose sire and dam are registered with the OEBMSSR. You MUST provide a re-create of the sheep's sire and dam'southward Document of Registration from the OEBMSSR; OR, a copy of a pedigree from the OEBMSSR with the sheep and its sire and dam (and their colors) listed, in both cases. If either, or both, the sire or dam are listed every bit being spotted on the CoRs or the full-blooded, the lamb volition not exist accepted regardless of whether it is spotted. The members of the ORSC volition review each submitted application individually. If your sheep meets the requirements, as well as the NABSSAR Brood Standard, your application will be forwarded to the Registrar and the Certificate of Registry (CoR) will be granted and mailed to yous.
